Reverse Migration to NITC Initiated: A Winning Combination at the National Iranian Tanker Company
The National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) has entered a new phase following significant changes, signaling brighter prospects for the organization. With the appointment of Captain Masoud Bazouyi as the new CEO and the return of its management under the Ministry of Petroleum’s jurisdiction, the company has regained stability, resolving many of its past challenges.
In recent years, disputes between the Ministry of Petroleum and the Ministry of Labor — the main shareholder of NITC — led to managerial instability and the withdrawal of several tankers from active service. This turmoil even caused some experienced specialists in this field to leave the company and join private enterprises.
With the formation of the 14th government and managerial changes, these conditions have been transformed. The new leadership has successfully, through effective planning and round-the-clock efforts, returned several decommissioned tankers to the fleet. This restoration has played a vital role in enhancing oil exports and countering sanctions.
Now, with the Ministry of Petroleum assuming full control over NITC and leveraging a cohesive and efficient management team, the company appears well-prepared to face future challenges, including sanctions. This unified managerial structure promises a stable and successful future for one of the country’s most strategic enterprises.
