The conditions for issuing special gasoline import licenses were approved in the eighty-seventh session of the Deregulation Committee, and the distribution form was postponed to the next session.
Alireza Nazari, head of the Business Environment Improvement Center and secretary of the Deregulation Committee session, stated on the sidelines of the meeting: “We reviewed the form or the conditions for issuing special gasoline import and distribution licenses. The import form was approved in the Deregulation Committee, but the distribution form was returned to the technical committee for further review due to the presentation of new concepts and interpretations by the representatives of the Ministry of Oil that differed from what was previously discussed in the technical committee.”
He added: “The next session of the Deregulation Committee is scheduled to be held in about 10 days, during which the issue of the special gasoline distribution form will be reviewed again.”
In response to a question about the three-year delay of the Planning and Budget Organization in connecting to the National Licensing Portal, Nazari said: “It is unacceptable for any organization not to comply with the decisions of the Deregulation Committee, as the only authority for determining licenses is the Deregulation Committee. He also mentioned that during this period, representatives of the Planning and Budget Organization were not invited to the Deregulation Committee sessions, but this issue should have been addressed much earlier.”
He continued: “Over the past month, with follow-ups from national media and parliament representatives, it has been decided to hold a technical committee for some organizations, including the Planning and Budget Organization. In the next two months, sessions will be held for the organizations that have not connected to the National Licensing Portal or had only a superficial connection, in order to ensure the implementation of the Licensing Facilitation Law.”
Nazari also announced that the form for online gold trading platforms will be determined soon, and the Supreme Supervisory Board of Guilds will hold a session to review this issue.
In addition, he mentioned that complaints related to the National Licensing Portal will be transferred to specialized systems, and future measures will be taken to resolve the problems of these systems. He also announced the issuance of custodial sentences for some officials due to non-compliance with the law.
